About B3

B3 is the stock exchange for the Brazilian capital market. Although it is not among the top ten in the world, it is the largest stock exchange in Latin America.

Create a simple and accessible environment for retail investors

The goal was not only to bring the company closer to this growing audience but also to consolidate the visualization of all their investments in a single portal. After the launch of the new platform, B3 saw a significant 57% increase in retail investors, highlighting the need for a robust solution to meet these new demands.

B3
The Solution

We participated in the development of B3's new area for retail investors, creating a complex solution that integrated fixed-income and variable-income information, replacing the former Investor Electronic Channel (CEI). This approach involved implementing a distributed and resilient architecture, using various technologies such as Angular microfrontend, .NET microservices, SQL

Server database, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Service Bus, Azure Key Vault, Azure App Services, API Gateway, and Load Balancer. The new area was designed to offer a unified experience, allowing investors to view their financial applications, transactions, positions, and dividends in a consolidated and intuitive way.

Highlight: Digital Investment Portability

Our main focus was on the digital investment portability functionality, which enabled investors to transfer their variable-income investments from one brokerage to another digitally and free of charge. Previously, this process was manual, involving document exchanges between clients and brokers. We contributed to the development of a solution that

allowed transfers to be completed within two business days, using technology that standardized information exchange and automated processes with custodians. This standardization brought scalability to B3 and enabled a solution now used by multiple brokerages, including Ágora, BTG Pactual, C6 Bank, Itaú, Santander, XP, and others.
